>>21435272>>485288512hey i have that exact scarf/krama. bought it on the neak luong ferry on my way to phnom penh.
shitty thread OP, kill yourself.
i've been to the killing fields and spent time with people who were in the cambodian war on both sides, victims and perpetrators (a lot of the street vendors in downtown PP are ex-child soldiers who did the killing).
i also spent time with veterans of the cambodian/vietnamese invasion which had some of the most horrific infantry combat of the 20th century, like the iraq/iran war. i still remember their eyes. like some of my friends who went to iraq.
all of these "wars" were deliberate constructions of intelligence agencies under the guise of "foreign policy" and "national interest"
you have to understand that Pol Pot was a creation of American/French intelligence as a realpolitik mechanism of getting Sihanouk out of power, preventing "the domino from falling" (even though Domino theory was obvious bullshit even then).
in fact i wouldn't be surprised at all if the KR ruling clique was run/handled by 2eme bureau intelligence since their time studying in France.
IMO the khmer rouge should be seen as an early prototype of a color revolution. they were cultivated and helped along every single step of the way.
i have wandered among the towers of skulls! i have walked through tuol sleng and heard the screams echoing from the stained walls! i have stared at the rows of photographs of faces on the walls- and they stared back!
the man showed me how he would hold them by their hair and crack them on the back of the neck with an iron bar, right at the base of the skull. like killing a chicken! at the choueng ek i saw bone fragments washing up from the ground after a strong rain and looked up at God and asked him please to help us not do this to ourselves anymore- and then a wasp stung me
one regret i will take to my grave is that henry kissinger died before i could meet him IRL and throw a creme pie at him!
