I was in Montreal a few years ago because it's supposed to be the most leftist place in the country but they voted conservative with a weird national socialist government. That means they do define themselves by their unique ethnic type and history because they are French Canadian.
The country is already fucked up enough as it is but the whole country voting conservative (that's worse then america) is just progression towards more badness.
I won't go into detail all the horrible things I've experienced but it's been really bad, I was in Alberta for a while and it's conservative there and it was absolutely horrible, like deathly so.
I've been singled out and treated so badly here by so many people that my only choice was to leave due to the abuse and foul treatment anyway, but the country is observable getting progressively worse and worse, like really bad country.
