Hey, 4chan, I'm 'new' here (I've been posting for awhile now, but I know that doesn't make me a veteran of the site or anything). Just want to say my experience so far has been... exactly what I expected. You see, I heard of 4chan back in 7th grade or so. I've always been a very cautious and repressed faggot, so when my friend (who browsed quite a bit) told me 'oh yeah there are like porn links on the front page' it put this picture in my head that 4chan was basically just that. As the years went on and individual posts and greentexts trickled into my very normie-centric entertainment, I became more and more intrigued. It really piqued my interest. Alas, I was still a cautious faggot and was not yet 18, and so I decided to keep avoiding it.

I turn 19 in 10 days. Just want to say that this past month or so has been pretty much what my mind had been shaping 4chan to be over the course of my first hearing about it to now. I'm still exploring the site, but /bant/ has become the board I typically frequent. I tried /b/ because that's what I heard about first and how it was basically a gold mine for good shit... but quickly learned it was a mine full of shit by the time I arrived. Haven't really ventured into too many boards as of yet. Checked out r9k and /pol/ so far, and the latter really does not appeal to me (not because of NAZI OMG SO WRONG, but because I just don't find the topics that interesting) while the former might become a place I frequent more in time... just not now.

Any ideas for other boards I should venture to? Keep in mind I'm not a fucking idiot and can easily check the quick topic from the homepage before just clicking the link at the top of the page.
