Instead of being compassionate toward themselves, family and their tribe, theyre directed to be compassionate for everyone else thats outside their group. Media and popculture further pushes that narrative so if you don't follow you're not hip and with the in-crowd. They'll treat them like outcasts which is primally a women's worst fear.
This mental/emotional manipulation tactic is so simple yet very effective, been used time and time again throughout history and its still the gold standard in today's time
