Dude. They literally MEASURE THEM. It's a competitive trillion dollar industry... Remove 1 inch from their measured height (for players drafted before 2020) and bam that's their barefoot height
They cannot fake height by more than an inch, it is impossible. And the only instances of that are when the players' position is on the line: i.e, kd frauding to 6'10 even tho he's 7 foot to have more freedom with his playstyle and shooting and not get stuck in the paint.

here you can see the top of kyrie's head compared to bron is at around the same point as the top of trump's head compared to his son, so since it's not a stretch to say kyrie and trump are the same height it's not a stretch to say barron and lebron are the same height. If you were pointing a gun on my head I'd say barron is 6'7.5 and I'd probably be right - on the dot

Like low 6'11? Nah... the NBA does inflate/deflate heights sometimes, but the barefoot measurement cannot be faked if the player isn't purposefully sneakily slouching/getting measured with a compressed spine. And shaq had no reason to do that cause he played center, measured at 7'1/4" barefoot
