In a rare diplomatic encounter, former President Donald Trump made his way to Mark’s office. Rumor had it he was there to apologize—a rare moment of humility. He sat down with his usual stern look, but there was a clear hint of hesitation in his posture. The man known for his bombast seemed… deflated.
“Mark,” Trump began, clearing his throat dramatically, “I wanted to address a few things, you know… set the record straight.”
Mark, visibly amused, tilted his head and gestured for Trump to continue, barely suppressing a smirk. But as Trump stumbled over his words, grasping at thin threads of humility, Mark’s composure began to crack. The more Trump spoke, the more Mark’s amusement grew, his laugh simmering just below the surface.
Finally, Trump tried to finish with, “I mean, in hindsight, maybe the whole ‘America First’ wasn’t, uh… as effective as I’d hoped.”
That did it. Mark let out a loud, unabashed laugh that echoed through the room, and Trump froze, his face turning an uncomfortable shade of red. Mark wiped a tear from his eye, catching his breath. “Donald,” he managed between chuckles, “you’re seriously apologizing for that? For failing to control one country when I’m… orchestrating the universe?”
Trump squirmed uncomfortably. “Well… you know, uh… it was complicated.”
Mark leaned forward, still laughing softly. “Complicated? Oh, Donald. If I’d had your job, I’d have had the whole world singing my praises by lunchtime.” He leaned back, eyes twinkling with a barely concealed grin. “But hey, you gave it your best shot, didn’t you?”
Trump muttered something under his breath, clearly regretting the entire encounter. Mark, meanwhile, continued to chuckle, basking in the sheer absurdity of it all.
