I just can't do it if I don't see a clear objective.
There's this guy in uni which has been talking to me the few times I've been there and I think I might need him. I've devised a plan to get his cooperation and I will enact it when I'll see him again. I get what you're saying, networking and stuff, but honestly I've only seen a stream of unimpressive NPC's whose cooperation didn't seem of much value.
I've only met one other person (besides the uni guy) who didn't fit into this category, and im in fairly good terms with him already.
When I don't find someone interesting/useful, I'll have a hard time interacting.
It might be true that by being so quick to judge people might be superficial and that's where the fault lies.
I won't go back to uni until I've finished all this semester's program though which will happen fairly soon if I keep up at this pace. Then I might be able to focus on interactions
