How Is Objectively Lacking Opportunities And Resources, "Learned Helplessness"?

Somehow all the jobs being dogshit and unwilling to hire you, shelter and other necessities skyrocketing is "learned helplessness"

God, no wonder everyone hates boomers.

I mean yeah, I guess in theory it is possible to get over the fact that your life is awful, but it is normal to at least feel a little bummed out at the start.

The problem with luck is that it is inescapable. Being born in a particular way is already luck, having opportunities others don't is also luck. Everything is luck. The ability to even breathe could be considered lucky or unlucky depending on your point of view. When your society is all about kicking the most vulnerable in the teeth and shutting the door behind them it is obvious what will transpire. "No one wants to work!" No one ever did, I'm surprised this is news to some people.

Work isn't honorable in of itself. It is done in order to get some benefit. If there is no benefit, society and people are just fooling themselves. Somehow, they imagine something to be wrong with themselves and the world if they don't feel like they have a stick up their ass.

Really? Is one's life so vapid as to dig meaningless holes like a meth head and fill them back up again? What kind of strange hell realm is this in which we do work not for some end, but because we imagine ourselves needing torment? There could be no reason to work, but somehow, somewhere there will be a meth head digging his thousandth tunnel to nowhere.
