Meanwhile if you're even 5% better than your peers at sports or 5% more attractive than your peers, you can go on to make millions as an athlete or actor. Even if you're of below average intelligence, being a little bit more fit than the people around you will greatly increase your success with women.
At the end of the day, everything you do is engine building. You are building an engine that can attract a mate and then produce and raise children. Everything can be reduced down to that; how can X increase my reproductive success. If your goal is to maximize children, IQ is the not the optimal strategy.
