1984 should be banned not because it's a parody of communism but because the it delivers a message of hopelessness through the nihilistic lens of the author. Such horrid descriptions of psychological torture and mass manipulation could only be conceived by a disturbed mind. People need to fill their heads with hopefuel not ropefuel.
