America taxes citizens through corporations, so their annual earnings are all essentially before tax. And the disparity of kapitol means almost all are paying a compounding 3% tax on their savings, the savings representing a far greater amount of personal income.
So an American earns 100, pays 10 to work, 25 in tax, 25 in corporate tax, 10 in local tax.
They can only save 30% of their income.
But then that 30 is taxed by inflation, so 27^n.
Then they pay interest on unrealised capitol, unable to access their savings they end up with unplayable debts. Like mortgages, consumer finance, subscriptions, rental costs. And these are the inverse of unrealised capitol.
