Irish derangement can be seen in virtually every indigeneous belief and custom that has emerged on this island full of mental patients. These people would spend their days stumbling about the countryside in a dazed, hallucinatory trance, looking for magic stones to kiss; or spending hours sitting in a field just yanking clovers out of the ground and counting their leaves; or trying to find parts of rainbows on the ground in the hope that if they beat up a midget when they got there, they would instantly become rich.
