>>21627310You know, I built a similar thing for my vacation house out in the tundra. What you do is clear a space under the foundation of the home, (with the foundation ideally being constructed out of some sort of ceramic and glace), and directly underneath place some netherrack. You could use lava instead, but then you run the risk of having a major fire hazard. Anyways, use a flint and steel to light the netherrack, the flames should reach just up to where it's licking the glass above it. Just like that, indefinite floor heating. And it looks pretty too, like a fireplace right underneath your feet.
