This is what the term "Ioudaios" or "Iudaeorum" commonly in the Bible translated as "jews". At the time of Jesus a multitude of people were inhabiting Judea und thus be regarded is "Ioudaios", or Judean in modern term.
This is the only definition that includes Israel, Christ as well as those we call jews today alike.
