The issue is the low quality of life these countries have combined WITH their growing economy. It's important to remember that the average Chinese worker lives in a coffin compared to a European/American house and eats raw shit (sometimes literally, India) compared to other countries.
Once one country essentially reduces their population to slaves, and that is seen as acceptable, then that country pretty much wins by default. When one country "nails" slavery, it's a problem for all the other countries who haven't, which is why the standard of living is going down most developed countries.
