In other words, passing that paper doesn't mean shit in the real world unless you have enough knowledge to put it to real world use, a marketable skill.
Im terrible at math, I find learning the stuff adjacent to the papers scope really helps. Sometimes there's a concept you just can't understand and the key is within a subject not taught by the paper.
