Dux Nuclearis (Duke Nukem)
Chapter Master Dux Nuclearis was formerly a Primaris Ultramarine sent to serve in the Deathwatch to assist against a Tyranid invasion alongside the Order of the Bloody Rose. Two Adeptus Sororitas that he had a particular fondness for (twins, they were) were captured and infected by Genestealers. Knowing this, he was forced to give them both the Emperor’s Peace, carrying it out reluctantly, but without fail. He has harboured a resentment for all Xenos races ever since.
After his vigil in the Deathwatch, he was called back to Maccrage to be promoted to Captain and act as Force Commander in a crusade to subjugate a newly discovered sector for the Imperium. During the decisive battle defending the planet of Bantanus, which was to be later called the Battle of the Two Million, he had defeated the Chaos Champion Felix Argyle in single combat. In the aftermath of the battle, Dux Nuclearis was promoted to Chapter Master of the Clovers of Ice so that the Adeptus Astartes had a permanent foothold in the sector.
