This is very true of alot in my generation and I used to be one.
It boils down to the glorification of apathy that reached its height mid to late 00s, which was when we reached adulthood, western society was so wealthy and safe back then you could reach adulthood without a reality check, they almost take personal insult if someone took anything serious, which is why they mock tradition and religion and sperg out when discussing these subjects, you literally wouldn't get pussy if you held any other beliefs, I didn't lose my virginity until I started selling weed at 19 and I know several people with the same trajectory, you have to understand you weren't rewarded by your peers unless you proved you didn't give a shit attitude.
My ex from Ukraine kinda shooked me out of it because she was from a more traditional background, I'm grateful to her for helping me change and think in different patterns but when the whole Russia invasion happened she went full globohomo and it's like we switched personalities and I left her.
