What we like about UK is your culture (british humor, music, monuments, the way you dress in stereotypes, ect...).
Also, chances are your courses will be in french, and many people here, especially older ones don't speak english well. It may even be considered rude to not bother to learn french. On the other hand, it is very flattering if you at least try a little to speak french, and it will make people more prone to help, even if you make mistakes.
