>>2172700>>2172464Hell, you could argue that at some point, if humanity didn't find some kind of way to transcend beyond Earth, and suddenly got wiped out, then remembrance would lose its mean. What else would their be to remember with no one left. Slowly but surely, everything moves along some schism of destruction that leads to nothingness. At some point, eons after all intelligent life as we know it, and many others after it, will have come and gone. And the universe will reinvent itself and begin anew, for lack of better words.
It's in our pointlessness and sense of agency that gives us the ability and drives to want to make names for ourselves, even in the most minor and minute ways. As long as you're doing something that you think would show that you're a living and breathing human being, the results should show. Or not. Either way, you're setting up your own legacy.
