The yankee mind can't fathom why someone would say coke instead of soda. Gee but they have no problem with people saying "Kleenex" instead of tissue paper or "Q-tip" instead of cotton swab or "Band-Aid" instead of adhesive medical tape.
How about "Escalators" or "Jacuzzis" no, THAT'S okay but coke somehow isn't.
