Yeah, if you have em in your forests and you know what to look for, that's how I used to do it. Also it has to be in season. Here it was spring and sometimes late autumn. But I would not recommend if you are a novist, you can easily get poisoned, go with someone who knows what he's doing.

My main point was, it's dangerous if you don't know what you are doing. Shroom people are usually chill, just find a online group that goes during the season, these people usually have pages and gather in groups before going shroom picking.

he's right though, it can be dangerous, you have to be careful.
if you're looking for psylocibe mushrooms, go to the forest, and look for something that resembles picrel,
that's what magic mushrooms look like.

that's not good advice, many mushrooms look like other mushrooms, also not every country has the same mushrooms. For example in my country there's only once species of psilocybin and they are easily recognizable. What you should look for are the spores, magic mushrooms have distinct purple and blue spores - but still I would advice to at least take a book or download a collection of pictures on your phone with the shrooms that grow in your area if you are not going with someone - still wouldn't advise.

I'm not the type of person that goes out much, but I grew up here and in Sweden. I have seen a few different mushrooms, but never have I seen anything like that. Maybe they were just too small for me to spot

They grow only on low grass from August to October. They are called liberty caps - I think it's literally the same that grow in my country.

When was going I never went alone, maybe one time and still when I came back I sent pictures to my buddies and asked if I have the right think despite there being only one kind of shrooms here. First 20 times I would go with a large group and the organizers were older 40 year old dudes that have been doing this for decades. One time me and my ex thought we found a new variety of shrooms and even the oldheads were surprised and thought we had really found a new one but then a really old guy looked at them and said - it's a rare variety that grows in a specific region and nowhere else, but they were magic shrooms tho.

Btw I've been to other countries shroom picking but even the old guys didn't want to take those for some reason, I think one guy said his friend got really ill from eating those.

Because they are very toxic. There are some ways to filter out the toxins like drying them out or boiling. With a proper dosage you shouldn't feel a (bad) thing.

Yeah, eastern europe is filled with them. Lot of foreigners come here during the season, I've met alot of them on our trips back when I was doing that.

It's a great climate for them, I kind of miss going - that hang is amazing regardless if you are taking shrooms but being the one sober guy would be weird. We got lots of murshrooms here in general, last year I went with some friends and picked up some Lion's Meign, absolutely delicious.
