But since google owns it all, they don't even need to sell our data because they can build it into google ads which they then sell.
In fact, the fact that Google has one of the biggest phone OS's, the biggest search, the biggest email, the biggest video streaming, etc. No individual service needs to have ads or pay plans for users.
The sheer amount they get to sell to the governments could keep them in business, but even if it didn't, ads would do it. The very last thing they should ever do is charge us. And yet, they do. Because it's a humiliation ritual.
I wouldn't be surprised if the bugs they want us to eat will be grown on the bodies of those who couldn't survive on bug food.
