The other two could grow old and live perfectly good lives befitting of how they appear in the show but maya will die without having done anything, just a completely worthless life. I haven't watched the show but I haven't seen maya ever creating anything or give any reason to believe they are capable of creating anything good or moving. Imagine maya as a middle aged woman writing terrible literature uncharming to man's sensibilities, living on welfare or something. I don't like seeing people romanticize this transgender negroid esque sort of delusion, but it is clear that as long as she does not go past a certain point she can easily get back to feet which makes it so the romanticism is understandable, it is not of much damage to be as she is when she is as she is but it must be understood as fleeting, which I don't think people who watch this show are entirely able to do
