point being, that the hotel in question might have different meaning from what you had; hence surprising reaction to make a thread about. ask what the hotel means to him, or what it symbolizes, could get deep.

I bet its better idea to admit to the anger and frustration one feels under stress, that to me the writer who shined his inner world to the canvas of deserter location. too bad there were people involved, and unconscious took over conscious; I bet the anger came from the pressure he had placed on himself, and so also acted like he felt himself to be treated (by his own expectations of himself(?). And to notice this possibility in oneself, and to play it out in mind, rather than world, to its different horrible conclusions, can kinda help to motivate for better action. but i find it absurd, because at times, by act of that voluntary (mental) suffering, and by the small revelations it causes, helps to make choices which help to make this lived life, the present, into more tolerable version of it.
