>>21833945Yes, dentistry is a scam, at least partly. The American Dental Association is just as stupid and corrupt as the NIH/CDC/FDA. Their recommendations are alway 20 or 30 years behind the latest medical discoveries.
On top of that, routine dental cleanings aren't really a great way to generate money, so dentists are inclined to push patients toward unnecessary services like teeth whitening, sealants, and referrals to specialists.
Of course, the real profiteers are orthodontists. Braces, implants, bridges, and shit like that make them so much fucking money they can easily buy homes that make them neighbors with movie stars.
