>be me
>get girlfriend pregnant
>tell parents and they freak out and ask how I’m going to afford it
>realize they are right and I can’t afford to have a child
>talk with girlfriend and she agrees to abort it being the gentle I pay for it in full which was 600 dollars
>dad gives me a stupid talk again about manning up and getting a real job that will magically let me move out of my parents house and afford a family but doesn’t tell me where to look or how to get it and just tells me to “figure it out like I did”
>tell him I can’t do it and can’t afford a child
>he tells me it’s not a choice anymore and that I’m going to have a family and I need to figure something out
>ask him where to find the better job again and he tells me to look and I’ll find something
>tell hime and my girlfriend aborted the baby three weeks ago and he’ll never be a grandpa
>he freaks and tells my mom who also freaks out and they both start crying over it and asking how I could kill my baby and my dad calls me a worthless loser
>two months later and my parents are overtly trying to convince me to have a child with my girlfriend and I tells them I can’t afford and never will be which they of course ignore like it’s a minor issue and I overtly tell them their genetic line is ending with me and I will never have kids to which they also ignore
Does gen x just live in a separate reality? I can’t say I don’t make enough money any simpler to them. Why don’t they get it and how do I get them to get it?
