Yes and yes. I asked my dad about this. He was very confused why I thought it was a problem. He never questioned it. It never bothered him. He had all three of his sons circumcised just because he felt it was the standard thing to do. He is not jewish. My mother is not jewish.

I think the problem is that they pretty much normalised it like its pretty normal to do.
You get born, snip snap and no one asks any questions because thats just the way it goes.

This is usually the reason. The nurses probably straight up say "time for the circumcision", and don't discuss it unless the parents object or ask questions.

A few jewish nurses have been caught still circumcising the baby without discussing it at all, or doing it even after being told not to. If you want to make sure your baby boy stays intact in the US, you need to threaten to break the nurse's hand if they mutilate your kid.
