If you were the cube, looking up through the portal, you'd see the world on the other side moving towards you.
Similarly, if you were a person standing at the blue portal looking in, you'd see the cube rushing towards you.

The world through the portal is already moving relative to the cube. There is no need to exert a force on the cube

A. The cube doesn't have the momentum, the portal does. It is like throwing a box off the front of a truck that is going a bajillion miles per hour, it is not going to fly incredibly far because the truck has the momentum, not the box.
