The fact that their official archival process was so bad, combined with the stream going down had me coordinating with people just to get things archived properly. I was worried the first few weeks were just going to be lost forever after it was revealed the official paid motion capture footage was initially fucked, and this felt too cool to not save and share.
Prior to fishtank I didn't watch any streamers so when Josie started streaming on her own I felt weird making the decision to continue watching due to the parasocial stigmas. But I think ultimately it's been beneficial to my emotional health. I've decided it's nicer to have fake internet friends that I join up with a few days a week to shallowly chat with, than it is to be completely isolated and alone. It's a nice escape and I think it's having lasting benefit compared to constantly being stressed out. Or something like that.
