I had ducks. chicken and quail are way better less dirty and give more and better eggs. i think chicken tastes better too. quail is ridiculous how many you can hatch and how many eggs you can get a day even from like 5 or 6 females. could feed a family with like 10 female quail and a few hens. now if you want eggs get some egg layers if you want meat get rock chickens (cornish hens I believe they are called). you get a nice juicy chicken meal in like 3 months after laying those ones are small and dont fly at all.
