There are 2 types of atheists.
There are "rational atheists" which are usually intelligent, logical, and well read. Then there are the "emotional atheists" usually idiotic liberals with multicolor hair who became atheists because they hate their parents or some tragedy made them sad and they blame God. The latter really is just trading one religion for another. When you compare modern liberalism with Christianity you see similar themes liberals original sin is salvery, their priests are scientists, salvation is multiculturalism, the need to be morally superior is a thing, ect.
The world really would be better without religion but only if people were predisposed to being rational. Or maybe the world would be better if people were rational in general.
