okay so i kind of fucked up. i was brewing this to make coffee stout and while the coffee was still brewing i added oatmeal to my 6 gallon pot, but waaayyyy to much oatmeal and i left the burner on too high and it just burnt everything. im left with burnt coffee flavored oatmeal.
so i restarted. i just took the right amount of water, added brown sugar and then regular sugar (when i ran out of brown sugar) until the starting gravity was what i wanted and then while the water was still warm just dumped a fuckton of coffee in, so i guess its going to lukewarm brew for a month or so. also i added some of the burnt oatmeal because it didnt taste too burnt
but now im left with a gallon of overcooked oatmeal cooked in coffee. its a good thing i have chickens they make great garbage disposals
