If they deleted unwanted threads like they do on all the other boards, the illusion would shatter, people wouldn't trust the board anymore, and it wouldn't serve its purpose as controlled propaganda hub anymore. So they came up with this idea of moving the threads to a different board. They're not deleted so people can keep believing their fairy tales of free speech, but to all effects and purposes the board is moderated to keep people talking about the designated topic of the month.
Mind you, I think it's genius that the board they move all those censored threads is permanently flooded with the reddit frog the pol boomers love and worship, this way when they see the thread moved here they think this is a based and redpilled board and not just a trash can, and this makes the censorship even less obvious.
