FUN FACT : Years before Obama and woke, Battlefield Vietnam and BF2 featured black Americans. In BF Vietnam you could customize your character to be black or white, in BF2 the " smart and nerdy" classes were Spec Ops, Sniper, Medic, and Engineer and they were white. The "muscular" classes were Assault, Support and Anti-Tank, and they were black. No one complained about diversity in BF2, and any leftist who tells you it wasnt diverse is either lying or ignorant

Yes this is very, very political. Believe it or not video games (as well as film and music of course) were and are a canary in the coal mine, a symbol of artistic and cultural expression of western civilization at large. Between the late 2000 and 2010 we had singleplayer games like Morrowind, Oblivon, Fallout 3, and Mass Effect and Dragon Age 1. Honorable mentions to Fable 2, Jedi Knight Jedi Outcast, Civilization 4, and Maxis games like Simcity, Simtower, Simfarm, and Simant

In multiplayer we had Battlefield and Call of Duty (originally both PC exclusive), and the Halo trilogy.

None of these series exist anymore, they exist in name only. Battlefield and Call of Duty have become laughable mockeries of their former, PC only roots. Civilization 5 and 6 destroyed and retarderized the diplomacy and war system.

After 2010, something happened. Maybe it was video games no longer just being for nerds and becoming mainstream. Maybe it was the financial crisis which disrupted the entire world economy in many often unseen ways. Maybe it was a cultural change, where white male developers were forced to make games with a more diverse audience and dev team.

Something happened. 2000-2010 was the golden age of video games. Fallout New Vegas (2010) I consider to be the last truly great game of this era, and Skyrim (2011) while not a totally terrible game, represents the slide into mediocrity and the beginning of the dark age.
