If you think he's wrong, lying isn't the way to do it. My problem with his claims is that he needs to write this in a paper with citations so how he knows what he knows is transparent. All the good dictionaries say "young man" or "youth" without elaborating further:

It's possible to approach this through etymology.
νεᾱνῐ́σκος (neānĭ́skos): from νεᾱνῐ́ᾱς (neānĭ́ās) + -ῐ́σκος (-ĭ́skos)
"-ĭ́skos" is the diminutive suffix, so that means it was added to the word "neānĭ́ās" in order to contrast with it and indicate something younger than a neānĭ́ās.

This is already looking a bit concerning. It looks like the dictionaries simply didn't bother to pin down a more specific meaning even though the etymology clearly indicates these terms were used for two different age groups. Because of the diminutive suffix, νεᾱνῐ́σκος (neānĭ́skos) means "little young man" or "little youth". This sounds like the term was innovated in order to refer to boys. What else could it mean?

It's little details like that that sell me on the authenticity of the eyewitness accounts of the gospels. If it were just a story someone made up, it wouldn't have random little details like Jesus sweating so hard that he began bleeding, or Jesus, while hanging on the cross simultaneously doubting God and having faith in him, or a random kid who was following him running away naked. If I were an author, I would not include any of those details because they are either unimportant or they confuse the story. But it isn't a story. It is an eyewitness account of something that actually happened, from four different observers who were all there, recalling the same event from slightly different perspectives.
