Don't get me wrong people in Vermont are nice as long as you never ever ever ever question what you saw on the news and muh environmentalism, there are even a lot of cool people left mostly in rural areas, but anywhere that has cell phone service and cable internet available is pretty much a lost cause. Ironically, the hippies are one of the main reasons we don't have decent connection or coverage, they got into government positions and decided the best way to live naturally was to keep anything useful from happening and also tax the FUCK out of everyone and anyone. Fiscally, it's only good if you're coming here for free housing and to get EBT because muh mental illness or whatever. Don't try to start a business of any kind, or really find any real job in VT. Weather is beautiful and scenery is great though, and if you have maples around you can do your own sugaring. 10/10 great place to rent a secluded house during the fall/winter/your preferred season, great place to go on easy scenic hikes, etc, etc, lots of cool craft type wares and relaxed tourist stuff but DO NOT fall for the meme of actually living here.
