>>21998028>>21998032When I was watching the Star Wars prequels while high and I got to the montage where the Jedi were being executed on all the different planets I finally realized what Star Wars was about. It was NOT about the triumph of good over evil, and it WAS about Anakin fulfilling the the balance of the force by walking both paths; but also more deeper the balancing of the force was the final act in a sequence that starts over and begins again. I realized through the cheesy romantic scenes Lucas was trying to portray the innocent and good nature of existence, that persisted amid the bad, but even in moments of victory there was darkness, for example the victory in Episode I ultimately allowing Palpatine to become chancellor, but on a more subtle level the darkness that haunted Anakin's relationship with his future wife; and on the obverse how there was hope in darkness, like when the Empire won but Anakin's children were born from that darkness that destroyed the Republic and survived, but even in that light there was darkness, for example in the elements of Luke towards the end of his story arc. Further more I realized that all of this was just different movements of existence, and microcosms within microcosms, the dark and the light and the dark in that light and the light in that dark and so on; and that the reason for portraying so many worlds sprawling with various different civilizations and species but connected was to show the grandeur of the universe's will towards manifesting life, but also conveying through space travel how it was all linked together; and further more how man had the universe inside him by being able to make machines.
