on a large bill, that could indicate lots of people and dishes ordered, taking up a good chunk of her time and effort. If you have a large enough table, you might be stuck with them alone, and the hostess will give your new tables to other servers, since you're busy as fuck.
the big table tips low, and you would have made more money from handling numerous smaller tables instead.
