The modern left, Lenin would argue, has devolved into a sad, disorganised blob of petit-bourgeois hipsters and Twitter activists who spend more time debating pronouns and decolonising veganism than actually organising the working class, while they cozy up to capitalism with their fair-trade lattes, cry about electoral politics that only strenghten the bourgeosie, and engage in endless, self-defeating purity tests instead of, you know, seizing state power, all while being so allergic to discipline, strategy, and revolutionary action that even the Mensheviks would call them embarassing, and that, comrades, is why communism lost.
