>>22080306Last week, I spent $150 at a whole animal butcher, $50 at an organic hippy veggie CSA, $30 at an organic french bakery (actual frogs using actual frog flour), $40 for organic cheeses at a mom and pop cheese shop, and $40 for French wines at the local wine shop. Staples like rice, eggs, milk come from the grocery. We use filtered water for everything and drink mineral water from glass containers.
We ferment our own vegetables, cook every meal at home, eat two meals a day together (I skip lunch), and somehow still work 9 hour a day salaried jobs on site.
If I can do it with my family, anyone can. It takes about three hours a week to do all the shopping. I recognize that my costs are high, but for a family of 4 with two teenage boys, it's not exorbitant. Plus, I'd rather spend this money on healthy foods that aren't ultra processed.
