For starters respect in the family isn’t enforced by the Church or through stepping our foot down as macho men like the preconception is, a woman could stand in respect when the husband enters the room and she can also slam his head with the shovel if he treats her as property and everyone will laugh.
Or they might think that Orthodoxy will bless their weapons against the nation’s enemies which is the biggest blasphemy ever heard in the church, they hold liturgies to ease the ensuing trauma so that soldiers don’t end up in the looney bin afterwards, it’s an act of providence and if the enemy was to ask for the same they’d receive it too, there's nothing that says that it’s ok to go to war, we just sometimes do what we are called and then hope and pray that God understands our weakness and shows mercy.
Or they might think that through Orthodoxy they'll have an incorrupt government, show me an Orthodox country with one, i’ll wait.
In fewer words, whatever it is you think you want, you aren’t getting it until God himself approves it.
