>>22195706it's quite expensive but depending on the class the product is very good as a supplement i think. obviously nobody can learn a language if literally all they're doing is 1 hour of english a week, but a significant part of what they're paying for is individualized study advice for outside of class as well.
ofc there's nothing stopping adult students for doing a bunch of their own research and figuring shit out on their own, that's what i did, but it's much simpler to have someone say "hey ur pronunciation is shit do some shadowing this month. oh nice ur pronunciation has improved that's great but it takes u ages to decide what to say and ur clearly translating in ur head, practice journaling at least 15 minutes a day so that u can get used to thinking directly in english" or whatever. then finding someone to actually speak english with is very difficult here unless you're extremely disgustingly outgoing so having a guaranteed hour every week u have to show up and use 100% english is good
for kids the difference in fluency and general communication skills between students who have been coming for a long time and ones who haven't is massive. long term students aren't necessarily any better at "raw" grammar or vocab than anyone else, but their response times are 10x faster and they can do things like talk around words they don't know while new students typically can't even if they're getting perfect grades at some rich fuck private school
obv if u absolutely have to learn the language with the greatest efficiency possible a full time language school is the best option but that's not realistic for a 12 year old u kno? it's also overkill for housewives that want to travel around europe from time to time
