It's funny really.
Men tend to be attracted to younger women.
Woman tend to be attracted to older men.
Yet one of these is considered morally reprehensible because of the potential difference in cognitive development, as well as gender bias.
As a practical matter I don't disagree that for something monkeys put some much psychological/social value on as sex (and might give you STDs (including pregnancy)), it might be beneficial for people to amass worldly knowledge, and economic/social independence before consenting. (Age 18 in america being of major significance for that, as you get other rights as an adult)
But frankly, it's ridiculous that people assert that 18 years of age, is some sort of objective moral limit. Or that men are morally despicable, (or "pedophiles" (

Finally, as boilerplate, Many relationships between adults and minors probably ARE manipulative and messed up. So I'm not saying I think it should be allowed (Really I don't know much about the situation), But the idea that men should be burnt at the stake for feeling attracted to minors sounds ridiculous.
