Will they just beat the shit out of me right there and then, or will they do the gentlemanly thing and agree to my rigged duel where I get to kill them and then hide the body but afterwards get arrested anyway because it was always obvious that I killed him and the police managed to trick me into identifying where I buried the body under my patio?

Good point. Guess I would be fucked either way. The idea of the duel is that both pistols are fake and rigged to fire only once for demonstration. Then after we both fire our fake guns, I pull out a real gun and kill him. Then his friends either kill me or run. (The guns would be old school muskets because that is all I can get hold of here without a licence. They only fire one shot.)

i think the better route to take would be to feign friendship with him, then after gaining his trust give him a friendly hug, but before you hug him light yourself on fire. once he's burnt to death you need to cut your ground harness so you fall into the vacuum of space. with no oxygen the fire will go out, just be sure to put a plastic bag full of air over your head. hopefully that will last you the 12 hours it takes for the earth to spin, once you get over me i will put a long stick up into the air. then you can take a plane back to aussie and buy yourself a new ground harness and you're good to go, you didn't even technically murder him so you don't have to go to jail either :D
