>>22282948Seems like you've stumbled upon the great lie of this era: what historically has been defined as marriage, is NOT what we call marriage today.
In the olden times, the deal between the sexes was as straightforward as it gets: a man provides and protects a woman, and that woman gives that man sex exclusively to him on command.
But in modern times, feminist governments have systematically removed all male incentives to marriage, while leaving female incentives intact or even raising them.
Men lost the right to have sex with their wife on command with the invention of marital rape laws, lost the expectation of fidelity with modern paternity laws, where even if the wife is pregnant with the child of another man, the fact tht you're married to her makes you the presumed father, and men lost the status as the main custodian of the children with the "tender years" doctrine. All this while female incentives like child support and alimony are alive and well, not even called into question, and even expanded with no fault divorce.
Thus we come down to the obvious conclusion: men have no incentive to marry. And this has caused marriage rates to plummet, and single motherhood to skyrocket. Until these source causes are addressed, family formation and fertility rates will continue to sink into oblivion.
