The specific more looping thing for INTPs (and all other types) is between your 1st and 3rd function where your "opposing" function isn't involved.
For the INTP that's Ti and Si (both introverted) and not being challenged bye the auxialry Ne (your extroverted function)
Ne also involves things like going out and trying different ideas out, it's being playful and quirky and playing with ideas and trying random stuff. Very holds up spork. You kind of need to do that to feed your internal Ti/Si loop.
If you don't you'll basically just use Si (material comfort/stability/memory) and Ti to keep just dwelling on past stuff and thinking about things you've experienced and around you but never being able to develop it, because to actually get information for it you need to use that Ne to feed it.
The Fe is sort of how jung splits these up.
We have judging and perceiving functions, they can be extroverted or introverted. For the judging function there are logical and value based judgements.
Ti is introverted logical judgement, Fe is extroverted value judgement. The introverted/extroverted part just refers to the "ground" of where the function operates.
Fe is our worst function but we are able to do things like read rooms/peoples emotions because of it even though we are bad at actually managing it. It tends to operate as a kind of ideal where when you become a more well adjusted person you will get much of your lifes value from FE related stuff (depending on external things for value judgements/what's good).
if you want more specific intp stuff this guy has good stuff on all the functions and different types from our perspective:

istps are underrated.
