I've been to Japan repeatedly and never once have I caught anime airing on the TV in any hotel I've stayed at, either in Tokyo or some rural ass area outside of it. And the PPV shit in hotels only has animation for very young children, like below the shounen / shoujo demographic, whatever the fuck that is.
I caught Rogue One in a Tokyo theater, and only one of the PVs was anime. More of the PVs were for... western animation.
