Just finished my conversion from an idiot leftie to a Trump supporter/proud right winger. Been meaning to take up actual manly things like fighting and hunting.

My friend began taking Aikido classes recently and his confidence is through the roof. "If someone throws a punch at me, I can rip their thumb off and shove it through their eye before they know what's happened!"

I went to one of the classes and was not impressed. Everything seemed choreographed.

I've heard that Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Boxing, and some other styles are effective. Are there any martial artists/fighters here who can give me some advice?

Also, there is a gym about a mile away from my apartment that teaches Sambo. I've looked Sambo up and it seems legit. Should I try out a class?
