>>22414440don't tell anybody, but I started mainly because I was curious about the Jing-Ju Cats comic (pic related)
I tried to read an automatic translation, it was awful, so I started looking up words in the dictionary, and at some point I thought, what if I read some lessons to learn a bit about grammar?
I found it surprisingly entertaining so eventually I figured I might keep going, and I haven't stopped yet
I only "know" like a couple hundred words so far so it's not nearly enough to understand anything, but I hope that before the end of the year I'll be able to give the comic a serious try
mind you, not that I expect a masterpiece or anything, at this point I'm not doing it for the comic anymore, but I think it would be pretty damn cool of a test
it is pretty damn cool already that sometimes I find some (very few) sentences where I can understand the whole thing, the speech bubble on top reads "zheli you mao le" and translates to "there's a cat here already" (with the meaning of "this place is taken" in the context of the scene)
